ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the federal cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan will be held today.
During the meeting, a five-point agenda will be discussed. Several ministers will attend the meeting via video link.
The cabinet meeting will review the security, political, and economic situation in the country, while measures to curb the spread of coronavirus on Eid-ul-Adha will be also reviewed.
The meeting will also approve the appointment of the Director-General of the National Institute of Electric Islamabad and the appointment of the DG of the Pakistan National Accreditation Council.

The Cabinet meeting will report on the vacancies of CEOs and MDs in all the divisions while the Cabinet will also ratify the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).
While chairing a meeting of the economic think-tank In Islamabad two days ago, asserted that the PTI-led federal government’s top priority was to provide relief to the poor segments of the society through targeted subsidies.
PM Imran Khan emphasized the need for out-of-the-box solutions for the economic growth in the country amid crucial times. “From day one, the government adopted a strategy to maintain a balance between sustaining economic activity and protecting the masses from the deadly virus,” he added.
