ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has hailed the declining number of coronavirus in Islamabad for the past few days.
The federal minister revealed only 113 cases of the novel coronavirus were recorded in Islamabad yesterday as compared to more than 700 infections reported in mid-June.
The minister, who also heads the National Control and Operation Centre (NCOC), said the number of positive cases have reduced to five percent yesterday and has remaine in single digits for last few days consistently.
He lauded the civil administration, police and the health department for the good work. He also appreciated the role of citizens of Islamabad to help authorities control the spread of the virus.
“Yet again Pakistan has shown in the last few months that when we come together we can overcome any challenge,” he said.
Islamabad new corona cases were more than 700/day in mid june. Yesterday 113 only. Positivity down to 5% yesterday and in single digits for last few days consistently. Very good work done by district administration, police & health dept but most of all citizens of Islamabad.
