RAWALPINDI: Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar has anounced that the Pakistan Army will donate an internal security allowance to the COVID-19 patients in wake of the pandemic.
While addressing a media briefing, the DG told that a conference was held under the supervision of the army chief to discuss the situation created by the deadly coronavirus.
According to him, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) has instructed to carry-on the training of Pakistan army officers and use all the resources to fight the virus.
While highlighting India’s ceasefire in Pakistan, he said that the Indian army had committed 805 ceasefire violations along the Line of Control. “Indian army used media to spread negative propaganda against us,” he added,
He maintained that the COAS ordered the military commanders to keep strict alertness on the situation at borders and the country’s security.
He further expressed his concerns that the spread of the virus may speed up in the coming weeks. “We have to take extreme care to prevent the outbreak of a pandemic,” he appealed.
Last week, he rejected Indian insinuations about infiltration and ceasefire violations (CFVs) by Pakistan as baseless. He termed the allegations as an attempt to switch international and domestic attention from the Kashmir issue.
