PM to chair federal cabinet meeting tomorrow via video conference

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the federal cabinet meeting tomorrow via video conference in the federal capital.

During the meeting, the prime minister will discuss 4-point agenda including overall political, economic and security-related situations amid coronavirus outbreak across the country.

The cabinet during the meeting will be briefed about steps taken against the spread of coronavirus in the country. Cabinet will approve the decisions of ECC taken two days ago.  Last week, the prime minister announced a multi-billion package involving relief for the working class and business community besides lowering fuel prices in the country amid a shutdown in various parts of the country.

While addressing a group of journalists, the prime minister announced concessions and tax refunds for exporters and businessmen to offset the economic effects of a slowing economy. The prime minister also announced an Rs100 billion package for SMEs and said they have allocated Rs 100 billion for labour class.
