LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has said that Punjab would face a big disaster if immediate action would not be taken against the rising numbers of the COVID-19 patients.
Shehbaz Sharif while showing concern about the rising numbers of the coronavirus in Punjab, he said that a notice should be taken over it. Tests at large scale and quarantine centres were the solutions to the coronavirus epidemic.
According to him, the province will face the consequences the coronavirus spread more at an alarming speed. While criticising the incumbent government, he said that the government was risking people’s lives by not conducting tests for the COVID-19.
He also lamented over the situation of the medical facilities in the province, by saying that there was a lack of kits, medicines and other relevant medical facilities at all districts.
Shehbaz Sharif earlier on Saturday said that a complete lockdown was necessary due to the coronavirus. He in this regard issued a plan to supply food and medicine during a lockdown. Food and medicines should be provided from utility stores across the country, he added.
He further said that while using the telephone lines and mobile app to place orders from urban homes. The post office, NLC staff, and vehicles could also be used during a lockdown, he added.
