PESHAWAR: Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Monday said 25 people have died in various rain-related incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PDMA issued a statement citing the causalities during rain in KP province, said including two deaths were reported in Peshawar due to roof collapsed, during landslide 7 people died in Mardan, three people in Swabi due to roof collapsed, four in Swat, one in Buner, and two each in Charsada, Nowshera and Khyber districts.
The PDMA said a total of 20 houses were completely broken in the recent rains across the province, while more than 149 homes were partially damaged.
The statement stated relief goods were distributed among the affectees in different parts of the province. Meanwhile, FWO reopened Karakorum National Highway from Bisham to Dasu for all kinds of traffic after a two-day blockage.
Different parts of the country, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab received extensive rainfall with wind and thunderstorms.
Met Office predicted more rain with a thunderstorm in Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the next 12 hours.
