Peshawar Zalmi beat Islamabad United by 7 runs on D/L method

RAWALPINDI: Peshawar Zalmi beat Islamabad United by 7 runs according to the Duckworth-lewis method at Pindi Cricket Stadium in the 20^th match of Pakistan Super League season 5.

Peshawar Zalmi required 196 runs to win against Islamabad United. The team scored 85 runs after nine over as the loss of two wickets before rain interrupted play. The team was declared seven runs ahead of the required score according to D/L method.

Islamabad United bat aggressively today and scored 195 runs. Shadab Khan played shined with the bat and scored 77 runs in just 42 balls. Colin Munro scored 52 runs in 35 balls, whereas, Colin Ingram scored 41 runs in just 25 balls.

Peshawar Zalmi was unable to bow well leading to a huge targe Hasan Ali took two wickets in 4 overs and gave 36 runs, whereas Wahab Riaz took one wicket and conceded 37 runs.

Rahat Ali gave 41 runs in 4 overs and took 1 wicket and Yasir Shah went wicket-less and conceded 30 runs in just 2 overs. Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bowl.
