Govt to establish DSRU to curb epidemics: Dr. Zafar Mirza

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Services, Dr. Zafar Mirza has asserted that the government has decided to establish Drug Safety Research Unit (DSRU) to curb epidemics.
This decision was taken at a meeting headed by Dr. Zafar Mirza in Islamabad today (Friday).
The members of the meeting also reviewed the arrangements to cope with the coronavirus.
At the meeting, Dr. Zafar Mirza said that the unit will constantly be monitoring the epidemics, adding that the unit will ensure the presence of a coordinated mechanism to deal with any kind of situation immediately. 
Dr. Zafar Mirza further informed that the DSRU would comprise of eminent doctors and health experts.
Commenting on screening of the passengers, the Special Assistant said that an effective mechanism has been put in place to ensure screening of passengers coming from abroad.
