KARACHI: Sindh Health Department has informed that the test results of twelve people – suspected of being infected with coronavirus – came back negative.
According to a spokesperson of Health Department, no further cases of COVID-19 were reported, adding that only four cases have been confirmed in Pakistan.
The spokesperson further informed that out of two Karachi patients, one’s family had been cleared of the coronavirus while the other’s was being kept in observation.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah chaired fifth meeting in connection with measures to counter the infection.
He said that he said samples of people suspected to be carrying the virus were sent to National Institute of Health for testing which came back negative.
CM Sindh assured that the efforts were underway to purge Sindh of novel coronavirus. He expressed gratitude to all the authorities concerned over timely efforts to contain deadly disease.
The chief minister was apprised that so far 2,301 people have returned from Iran. He was further briefed that the government’s measures are yielding positive results.
