PESHAWAR: Ruckus broke out between treasury and opposition members in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly today (Tuesday).
According to details, the members of the treasury and opposition gathered before Assembly Speaker Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani and exchanged heated arguments.
After some moments, the arguments turned into a physical fight after an opposition lawmaker hailing from Awami National Party, Ahmed Khan Bahadur, attacked Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) legislator Fazal Hakeem Khan.
During the ruckus, opposition lawmakers Nighat Orakzai also climbed her seat. The lawmakers in the assembly intervened to separate them from each other.
The brawl forced the speaker to adjourn further proceedings for a time being. Speaker Mushtaq Ahmed warned provincial lawmakers of opposition to respect the proceedings and termed this brawl as last. The house proceedings were later adjourned for Friday.
