KARACHI: Actor Shamoon Abbasi is all set to play an Indian spy in his upcoming movie ‘Dhai Chaal’.
In 1 minute and 16 seconds trailer, the actor is seen as the trailer playing the role of an Indian spy.
Along with Shamoon Abbasi, actress Ayesha Omar will be playing a key role in the movie as a journalist who tries to present a real picture of the Balochistan region.
It is said to be that Shamoon’s role as an Indian spy is based on Indian’s Intelligence Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent Kulbhushan Jadhav who was caught and arrested in Balochistan for spying inside the province in 2016.
The film has been shot in different areas of Balouchistan, province of Pakistan. It will be released at the end of 2020.
This is not the first time the actor would play an Indian character; his upcoming comedy movie on Indian pilot Abhinandan, titled “Abhinandan Come On” would hit cinemas in September this year.
Abbasi in the movie would play the role of Abhinandan Varthaman, the IAF pilot who was captured and then set free by Prime Minister Imran Khan as a goodwill gesture when an Indian plane crashed in the country following escalating tensions in the aftermath of the Pulwama attack in February 2019.
