ISLAMABAD: Former premier Nawaz Sharif’s sons, Hassan and Hussain Nawaz have been declared fugitives in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
The move was made by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). In this regard, the NAB will soon file an appeal in the accountability court against Sharif brothers.
According to the NAB, both sons of Nawaz Sharif despite being the shareholders in mills skipped the hearing in the case.
The Sharif family has been indicted for using the Chaudhry Sugar Mills for money-laundering.
Last month, an accountability court granted a permanent exemption to former premier Nawaz Sharif in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills on the medical grounds.
AC Judge Amjad Nazir pronounced the decision. Nawaz Sharif has been staying in London since November 2019 for the medical treatments.
