ISLAMABAD: A man was killed and two police officers suffered gunshot injuries during an encounter in Islamabad on Monday.
The incident occurred when a police team, operating on a tip-off, carried out a search to apprehend an absconder at a house located in the Nilor police station.

According to police, the suspect opened fire at the police officers when they entered the home, leaving two cops wounded, the officials said a man, Riaz also wounded during the bullet shootout fired from the suspect’s pistol.
Rescue workers moved all the wounded to the hospital where Riaz died of his injuries, while the police claimed to have detained a suspect’s accomplice.
