Nawabshah: Five members of the same family were killed in a horrific road accident near the Daulatpur Bypass on the National Highway in Nawabshah, Sindh, after a speeding oil tanker collided head-on with their car.
According to rescue officials, the victims included children and a woman. The impact was so severe that the car was completely wrecked, leaving rescue teams to cut through the vehicle to recover the bodies.
The victims were shifted to a nearby hospital, while authorities continued efforts to identify them.
Tanker Driver Flees Scene
The oil tanker driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, taking advantage of the chaos. Police reached the location shortly after receiving the report and took the tanker into custody.
Police officials said raids were being conducted to trace and arrest the fleeing driver. The bodies will be handed over to the victims’ families after completion of the required legal procedures.
