The federal government on Friday cut the prices of petrol by Rs0.58 per liter and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs0.17 per liter for the next three days.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

Following the revision, the price of petrol has been reduced from Rs342.60 to Rs342.02 per liter, a decrease of Rs0.58.

The price of HSD has also been lowered by Rs0.17 per liter, from Rs371.61 to Rs371.44 per liter.

The revised prices will remain effective from Saturday, August 29, through Monday, August 31, 2026. The adjustment is part of the government’s ongoing practice of revising fuel prices in line with international oil prices and other relevant cost factors.

In the previous review on Thursday, the government had reduced the price of petrol by Rs0.50 per liter and HSD by Rs0.19 per liter.
