A woman allegedly put glue in the mouth of her nine-month-old nephew following an argument with her brother in Pune, India.
According to Indian media reports, 39-year-old Altaf Nadeem Sheikh filed a police complaint against his sister, Saniya Sheikh, and two other individuals.
The baby was rushed to a hospital following the incident and has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) for treatment.
Police said Altaf Nadeem Sheikh lives in a joint family and had an argument with his sister, following which Saniya allegedly took the revenge against his infant son.
The baby’s mother, Zainab, reportedly became alarmed after noticing that her child continued vomiting and that his lips had become stuck together.
The child was subsequently taken to hospital, where he remains under treatment.
