A domestic dispute in the Green Town area of Lahore turned into a bloody incident, where a nephew allegedly killed his 72-year-old paternal uncle by striking him with sticks.
According to the police, the incident took place at Baghrian Chowk, where a man named Karamat had an argument with his brother Niamat over a domestic matter.
The police said that during the heated exchange, Niamat’s son, Muhammad Ilyas, allegedly attacked his uncle Karamat with sticks, as a result of which he was seriously injured and died on the spot.
Earlier, a model criminal court (minor offences) issued a judgment in a domestic abuse case, convicting a man of assaulting his wife and mother-in-law.
Judicial Magistrate Hamidul Rahman Nasir conducted the trial, which involved testimony from several witnesses, including the victims and police investigators.
The incident took place on April 2, 2021, when a dispute erupted at the man’s residence in the jurisdiction of the Shafiqabad police station.
