City Traffic Police Rawalpindi has issued a detailed traffic plan for the Test match between Pakistan and South Africa. After winning the first Test match, Pakistan has maintained its lead in the two-match series, resulting in increased public interest.

According to details, the match between Pakistan and South Africa will be held from October 20 to 24 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. According to City Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam, more than 367 traffic wardens and officers will be deployed around the stadium to ensure smooth traffic flow and public convenience.

According to the spokesperson, a special diversion plan has been prepared to reduce traffic pressure, under which additional personnel will be deployed at key points to guide citizens. Traffic coming from Islamabad will be diverted from Faizabad towards Islamabad Expressway, while vehicles traveling from Rawalpindi to Islamabad will be redirected from Sixth Road towards Saidpur Road.

According to the CTO, Stadium Road from Ninth Avenue Chowk to Double Road will remain closed for all general traffic during the matches. As alternative routes, IJP Road and Faizabad routes have been provided to minimize inconvenience for citizens.

For the convenience of cricket fans, special parking arrangements have been made at the Civil Aviation Ground, Shehbaz Sharif Park, and Government Graduate College Satellite Town, from where spectators will be transported to the stadium through shuttle service.

Furthermore, updated traffic information will be regularly provided through social media and local radio channels.
