LAHORE: Star batsman Babar Azam shared his pleasure at finding a place for the second time in 2019 in the ICC ODI squad, after winning the position in 2017.
The ICC named its 11-member ODI squad on Wednesday in which Babar is also included as an only Pakistani for his outstanding performances he generated last year.

While Babar Azam in a press release said that “I must reserve my deepest appreciation to my team-mates and supporters as this would not have been possible without their encouragement.”
Babar Azar further said, “I am grateful to the ICC and its committee for acknowledging my accomplishments with the bat in 2019 and finding me deserving of a spot on the side that includes some of my favorite cricketers who have thrilled the fans with their outstanding performances throughout the year.
Babar achieved 1,092 runs in 20 ODIs at 60,66 in the 2019 calendar year, he has hit three hundred and six half-centuries, tons against England at Trent Bridge (115), New Zealand at Edgbaston (101 not out) during the ICC World Cup and Sri Lanka at the National Stadium (115).
