Man dies after being hit by train in Khanewal

KHANEWAL: Fenceless railway track of Khanewal killed yet another man near Mohsinwaal railway track, on Wednesday.

According to Rescue 1122, the man identified as Iqbal son of Ghulam Muhammad, resident of 134/16-L, while riding a bike got hit by a train. As a result, he suffered severe injuries and died on the spot.

The body was  shifted to a nearby hospital for an autopsy. Later after medico-legal formalities the handed over to heir, sources added. 

Sources said the killer fenceless track of Pakistan Railways runs through the most populated areas of the Khanewal and kills dozens of locals every year.

It further stated despite continuing demands, the Pakistan Railways has not been able to fence its main rail track to save precious lives.
