ASF recovers bullets from woman at Lahore airport

LAHORE: The Airport Security Force (ASF) on Monday claimed to have recovered seven 9-mm pistol’s bullets from a woman at Lahore International Airport.
According to the Lahore airport officials, seven 9-mm pistol’s bullets were recovered during the search of the woman who was traveling to Jeddah by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-3737.
An official of the airport said the bullets were recovered from the woman’s bag she was carrying at the ASF counter. He said the woman in her initial statement said she mistakenly took the bag of her brother while leaving from home to the airport.
She further added her brother has a license of the weapon whose bullets were recovered from her luggage. The officials have started a further probe into the matter.

On 26 September 2019, a Pakistani-British citizen was taken into custody after bullets were recovered from his possession at the Islamabad International airport.
The detainees identified as Shams was due to travel to Birmingham via a PIA flight. Officials said a total of ten bullets were found in his luggage during the scanning.
