ISTANBUL: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is likely to arrive in Pakistan in the upcoming month.
Pakistan and Turkey will also hold the session of strategic dialogues during the visit of the Turkish President. Erdogan will meet the top political and military leadership of the country.
The foreign ministers from both sides would represent their countries in the talks to be held in Islamabad for holding dialogues.
Erdogan in October 2019, was expected to arrive in Pakistan but he had to delay the visit due to the military operation in Syria.
The Turkish envoy in Pakistan Ahsan Mustafa announced on his twitter account that Tayyip Erdogan’s visit has been postponed amid an ongoing offensive launched by Turkey against Kurdish militant groups in northern Syria.
The Turkish defense ministry said in a post on Twitter, “As part of the successful operations being conducted in the framework of Operation Peace Spring, the town of Rasulayn, located east of the Euphrates, has been brought under control.”
