Shefali Jariwala, known for her iconic appearance in the music video Kaanta Laga and her stint on Bigg Boss 13, has passed away at the age of 42 following a cardiac arrest. Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai confirmed her death late on June 27.
She was brought to the hospital by her husband, Parag Tyagi, along with three others, but was declared dead on arrival.

According to Indian media, a Mumbai Police source reported: “Shefali Jariwala died at the age of 42. She lived in the Andheri area of Mumbai. Her family brought her to the hospital late last night, where she was declared brought dead. Her body was found at her Andheri residence. Mumbai Police were informed around 1 am. Her remains have been sent to Cooper Hospital for a postmortem. The cause of death is not yet known.”

Journalist Vickey Lalwani shared, “I can confirm that she was brought dead to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital (opposite Star Bazaar Andheri) about 45 minutes prior to this post. She was rushed to the hospital by her husband and three others.”
A hospital staff member told Times of India, “Shefali had expired before she was brought in. Her husband and a few others accompanied the body.” Images and videos of Parag Tyagi’s solemn walk from the hospital have since surfaced online, sparking an outpouring of grief from fans.
Shefali rose to fame in the early 2000s as the face of Kaanta Laga, which earned her the nickname “Kaanta Laga Girl.” She later appeared in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi alongside Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra.
Transitioning to reality TV, she joined Bigg Boss 13, hosted by Salman Khan, where her past relationship with the late Sidharth Shukla made headlines. She also participated in Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7 with Parag Tyagi.
Shefali had previously married musician Harmeet Singh of Meet Brothers in 2004, before separating in 2009. She married Parag Tyagi in 2015. Her sudden passing has left colleagues and fans deeply shocked, with tributes flooding social media.

Tehseen Poonawalla, who shared the Bigg Boss 13 house with her, wrote, “Absolutely stunned to hear my friend Shefali Jariwala is no more. I last met her at a party. Life is so short. She was in #BiggBoss13 with me. Incredible how #SidharthShukla and now she, from my season, are no more. Sending love and healing to her loved ones.”
