Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a sharp decline on Tuesday, mirroring the downward trend in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs3,800, settling at Rs354,365. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs3,258, closing at Rs303,810.
This follows a marginal decline on Monday, when the gold rate per tola stood at Rs358,165 after a decrease of Rs300.
Internationally, gold also saw a notable drop. The global price was recorded at $3,327 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium, reflecting a decline of $39 during the day, as reported by APGJSA.
In the local silver market, prices also weakened. Silver per tola fell by Rs9, reaching Rs3,790.
