After a five-year suspension, PIA flights from Lahore to Paris have resumed. Flight PK-733 departed from Allama Iqbal International Airport at noon, carrying 276 passengers.
This move marks a significant step in expanding PIA’s European operations. Travelers welcomed the return of this direct route, long awaited by the Pakistani diaspora in France.
To celebrate the relaunch, airport officials organized a small yet graceful event. Airline staff, French embassy representatives, and aviation leaders attended. Guests participated in a cake-cutting ceremony before the flight’s departure.
PIA CEO Air Vice Marshal Aamir Hayat, Chief Operating Officer Khurram Mushtaq, and France’s Head of Mission Frank Aubrey were present to see off the passengers.
The Boeing 777 used for this flight includes an updated interior. PIA redesigned the cabin to offer a more relaxing travel environment. Improved seating, lighting, and in-flight services made the experience more pleasant for long-haul passengers.
Travelers shared positive feedback about the upgrades, especially those flying to Europe for the first time in years.
PIA had already been operating two weekly flights from Islamabad to Paris. With the reintroduction of the Lahore–Paris route, passengers now have more flexible options to travel directly between the two countries.
