Alia, a twelve-year-old maid, was tortured to death by her employer in Faisalabad, the media reported on Tuesday.
As per the report, the incident occurred in the jurisdiction of the Madina Town Police Station of Faisalabad.
A poor man named Irshad’s daughters, Aliya, 12, and Shamila, 8, were working as domestic workers in Zeeshan’s house for the last few months.
Last night wife of Zeeshan tortured Aliya with a wiper and a wooden stick, after which she died in early Tuesday.
Later, Zeeshan took her dead body to her father in Roshanwala in his car. The father of the victim then informed the police about the incident. SSP Saeed Ahmad immediately raided the house and arrested Zeeshan and his wife.
During the initial probe, both husband and wife admitted to torturing Aliya for taking food out of the refrigerator.
The SSP later shifted the dead body to a local hospital’s mortuary. Madina Town police started an investigation into the incident.
