Amid rising military tensions between India and Pakistan following the failure of Operation Sindoor, India has claimed responsibility for the destruction of Rahim Yar Khan Airbase, as reported by Indian media.
Earlier, India reportedly targeted three Pakistani airbases in a fresh missile attack last night. In response, Pakistan launched a powerful military operation, Bunyan ul Marsoos, against the enemy, destroying several military installations.

Nur Khan Airbase in Chaklala, Rawalpindi, near Islamabad

Rafiqui Airbase near Shorkot in Jhang District, Punjab Province
DG ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, stated that most of the missiles were intercepted by Pakistan’s air defense systems, and no significant damage to air assets occurred.

However, in a serious escalation, India carried out an airstrike early Saturday morning targeting Sheikh Zayed International Airport in Rahim Yar Khan, according to Pakistani media outlet Nukta.
Built in 1993 and named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE, the airport has long served as a symbol of the enduring friendship between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
As of now, the ISPR and the Pakistani government have yet to confirm the authenticity of the reports or provide details regarding any potential damage at Rahim Yar Khan.
