In-laws tortured their pregnant daughter-in-law, broke her legs and arms, and threw her out of the house in the city of Muzaffargarh, Punjab.
According to a report by national media on Monday, in Muzaffargarh, a husband, son, and in-laws tortured an 8-month pregnant woman, broke both her legs and arms, and threw her outside the house in critical condition.
In the area of Mauza Basti Arif, Tehsil Jatoi, Muzaffargarh, the 8-month pregnant woman was beaten with axes, iron rods, and sticks by her husband and in-laws.
Due to the violence, the woman’s both legs and arms were broken, and after the assault, the accused threw her injured body into the street outside the house.
Local residents informed the police, and with the help of rescue services, the woman was shifted to THQ Hospital. According to the statement given to the police by the victim, the assault was carried out on suspicion regarding her character.
As the victim’s family refused to take legal action, a case was registered by the police at Jatoi Police Station against five individuals including the woman’s husband, father-in-law, brother-in-law, and son. Police state raids are being carried out to arrest the accused.
