Two people were injured and 50 of their cattle were killed in a lightning strike in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority said that the incident occurred when the herdsmen were in an open area with their cattle.
According to the PDMA, about 50 cattle were killed in the lightning strike, causing financial losses to the affected families. The injured were immediately shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Khar, where they are undergoing treatment.
On the other hand, a house and a school building have been partially damaged by the tremors of the earthquake in Lower Chitral. According to the PDMA, teams have been dispatched to the area to assess the damage after the earthquake.
Officials say that the situation in the affected areas is being monitored and steps are being taken to deal with any possible emergency.
It should be noted that a mild tremor jolted parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa yesterday.
