The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art Adventure City Park in Islamabad, aiming to transform the capital into a major tourist destination.
The decision was made during a meeting at CDA Headquarters, chaired by Federal Interior Secretary Muhammad Khurram Agha. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with the Member for Environment and other senior officials, also attended the session.
Officials said the proposed park would be developed at a suitable location in the city and is expected to become a major attraction for both residents and visitors. The facility will feature pedestrian walkways, cycling tracks, and eco-friendly landscaping, alongside a variety of recreational and tourism-focused amenities.
According to the CDA, the project will be designed in line with international tourism and leisure standards. It will house a mix of local and international food outlets, cultural and social activity zones, and family-friendly attractions, all within a single space.
To support environmental sustainability, a sewage treatment plant will be set up as part of the development. The authority also plans to adopt financial and operational models to ensure the park’s long-term viability.
