In Rawalpindi, an enraged man, suspecting that he was fired from his job due to a colleague, shot and killed his coworker’s 14-year-old son, as reported by national media.
According to the police, a 14-year-old boy was killed in a shooting incident in the Babu Gulab neighborhood of the Gujar Khan police station area.
Adil Mehmood stated that he had been working at the Royal Goods Terminal for 26 years, where Mamoon had also been employed for the past three months.
Mamoon was fired by the terminal owners a week ago due to frequent quarrels with people and inappropriate behavior. On March 28, while sitting at a hotel, Mamoon approached and threatened him, saying, “You got me fired. I will not spare you or your children.”
Last night, while they were at home, someone knocked on the door. When Adil’s 14-year-old son, Adeel Adil, went to answer, a commotion erupted. Upon checking, Adil saw Mamoon arguing with his son. When he tried to intervene, Mamoon suddenly pulled out a pistol and started firing.
Adeel Adil was critically wounded by a bullet to the stomach. While being taken to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the accused, Mamoon, fled while issuing threats at gunpoint. Police officials stated that a case has been registered, and efforts are underway to locate the suspect, who will be arrested soon.
