New Zealand captain Tom Latham has been ruled out of the ODI series against Pakistan after excellent performance in T20 series against Pakistan.
According to New Zealand Cricket, Latham suffered a fracture in his right hand after being hit by a ball during net practice, which has sidelined him from the three-match ODI series against Pakistan.
New Zealand Cricket has announced that Henry Nicholls has been included in the squad as Latham’s replacement, while Michael Bracewell, who led the team in the T20I series, will continue as captain.
In the ODI series, Mitch Hay will take on wicketkeeping duties. New Zealand Cricket told the media that Will Young will be available only for the first ODI, missing the remaining matches due to the birth of his child. Rachin Ravindra will replace him in the squad.
It is worth mentioning that the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand will begin on March 29, with the remaining matches scheduled for April 2 and April 5. The first ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played in Napier.
