In a first example of generosity of its kind, a petrol pump owner in Pakistan has lowered the prices for Ramadan 2025, while also announcing a special discount for Eid.
As per details, a petrol pump owner in Narowal has reduced fuel prices by Rs. 3 per liter, selling petrol at Rs. 254.24 instead of Rs. 257.24.
The owner, Rana Ashfaq, has also announced that on Eid day, he will sell petrol at Rs. 10 per liter less than the official rate for the entire day.
Speaking to the media, Rana Ashfaq said, “In Ramadan, good deeds earn seventy times more reward. Helping others pleases Allah, and wealth increases rather than decreases through charity.”
When asked about business strategy and potential losses, he remarked, “Lower profits bring more customers, and during Ramadan, helping people earn prayers instead of just money.”
Rana Ashfaq also urged traders and the government to reduce prices on all essential goods during Ramadan to make life easier and spread happiness among people.
It should be noted that contrary to other countries in the world, traders and businessmen often increase prices of all essential items in Pakistan, in this context, the example set by the petrol owner is a unique example in the country.
