The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced revised timings for all federal educational institutions during the holy month of Ramadan 2025. According to the notification, schools and colleges in Islamabad will follow the new schedule:
- Morning shifts: Monday to Thursday, from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm; Fridays, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
- Evening shifts: Monday to Thursday, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm; Fridays, from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
The Punjab education department has also updated the timings for educational institutions:
- One-session schools: Monday to Thursday, from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm; Fridays, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
- Twin-shift schools: First-shift classes, Monday to Thursday, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm; second-shift classes, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm; Fridays, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
In Sindh, single-session schools will operate from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm throughout Ramadan.
These adjustments aim to provide relief to students and teaching faculty during the fasting month.
