Book fair held at Jinnah Sindh Medical University

Sindh: A book fair was arranged in Jinnah Sindh Medical University in which prominent publishers of medical and academic books offered books at discounts.

 Vice-Chancellor Professor S M Tariq Rafi inaugurated the fair which was arranged under the supervision of the Chairman Libraries Professor Mehmood Hasan with Chief Librarian Faisal Memon.

Principal Sindh Medical College Professor Ghulam Sarwar Qureshi accompanied the Vice-Chancellor as they inspected the stall. Prominent publishers including Paramount, Allied, Progressive, Royal and Siddiqui Publishers have set up stalls offering up to 25% discount. The book fair will continue on Wednesday, January 1, 2019.

Orientation Day at Jinnah Sindh Medical University

Jinnah Sindh Medical University welcomed its new batch of medical students in a dignified ceremony. The Vice-Chancellor Professor S M Tariq Rafi advised the students to leave everything else aside and concentrate on enhancing their skills and knowledge with full dedication.

 Earlier, Principal Sindh Medical College Professor Ghulam Sarwar Qureshi welcomed the students and briefed them about the University rules and regulations.

Afterward, Registrar Professor Saadia Akram administered the oath to the new students. Around 350 newcomers attended the ceremony and were introduced to the different departments, faculty members and the schedule of studies at the University.
