Pakistani cricketer Shadab Khan has finally addressed the controversy surrounding his alleged relationship with TikTok star Shah Taj Khan, which first surfaced in September 2024. Shah Taj had claimed that she had been in contact with Shadab via WhatsApp and Instagram for several months, sparking widespread speculation.
Shadab, who married Saqlain Mushtaq’s daughter in January 2023, recently appeared on a comedy show on a private TV channel. During the episode, the host asked Shadab about allegations from various actresses, who have claimed that cricketers often message them. The host questioned whether these rumors were true or just baseless gossip.
In his response, Shadab directly addressed the issue, saying, “I think even if they do, what’s wrong with it? If you don’t like it, don’t answer, ignore it.” He added, “If she responds, it means she’s also interested in the conversation.”
The all-rounder further explained that many of these claims, especially those that arise during cricket tournaments, are often blown out of proportion. “There’s nothing like what’s being claimed,” he stated. “These things are often just said to gain fame.”
Shadab also revealed that cricketers often joke with each other about such rumors, jokingly asking, “Who sent that message?”
The situation took a new twist when Shah Taj Khan appeared on the “Game Show Aise Chale Ga,” hosted by Mathira, and revealed that she had been a huge fan of Shadab. She shared that she had traveled to Lahore to watch his matches and felt deeply hurt when he got married.
