The charming tourist destination of Shogran, located in the Kaghan Valley, has recently been adorned with a fresh layer of winter enchantment, as the area received up to one foot of snow following an extended period of dry weather.
This unanticipated snowfall has rejuvenated the valley’s appeal, drawing a consistent stream of visitors eager to immerse themselves in the stunning snowy vistas.
This year has seen a notable enhancement in accessibility. For the first time, the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) has ensured that the Shogran Road remains open to smaller vehicles, greatly facilitating tourist access to this favored location. Consequently, visitors are converging on the valley, mesmerized by the breathtaking snow-laden landscapes.
While Shogran is experiencing a foot of snow, the snowfall has been even more pronounced in Naran and its neighboring areas, with reports indicating accumulations of up to three feet. This increased snowfall has resulted in significantly lower temperatures across the region.
The long-anticipated snowfall has revitalized the Kaghan Valley, transforming it into a winter wonderland and attracting tourists from various locations to witness its remarkable beauty.
“We have implemented extensive measures to provide optimal facilities for tourists in Shogran,” remarked KDA official Moazzam Khan. “Our staff is deployed, machinery is ready, and we have established a dedicated helpline – 1422 – to assist tourists in case of any emergencies or challenges.” The KDA’s proactive strategy is ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
