In the Morocco boat tragedy, 20 individuals from Faisalabad, Lahore, and Karachi traveled to Senegal, 8 dead, 12 rescued.
According to a report by Daily Jang on Saturday, during the investigation into the Morocco boat incident, FIA officials have traced the 20 individuals who were either killed or rescued.
According to FIA officials, 20 people left for Senegal from airports in Karachi, Lahore, and Faisalabad. Seven were on visitor visas and one on a temporary resident visa from Faisalabad to Senegal.
The report reveals that six individuals flew from Karachi to Senegal on Ethiopian Airlines with visit and tourist visas, two traveled from Lahore to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visas on September 18, and nine people were from Gujarat. Five of them were rescued, and four lost their lives.
Investigations show that three individuals from Mandi Bahauddin were rescued, while three died in the boat incident. Three passengers from Sheikhupura and one from Sialkot were saved, and one person from Gujranwala passed away.
The 20 individuals traveled to Senegal and Saudi Arabia between May and September. Passengers Sufyan, Ghulam Mustafa, Mehtab Hassan, and Rais Afzal traveled from Faisalabad to Senegal. Ali Hassan traveled on a visitor visa, while Hamid Shabbir left for Senegal from Faisalabad on a temporary resident visa.
Waseem Khalid and Syed Muhammad Abbas Kazmi also went from Faisalabad to Senegal on visitor visas, and Imran Iqbal Aziz, Basharat, Qaseen Haider, and Mudassar Hussain traveled from Karachi to Senegal.
Badr Muhiuddin and Gul Shamir traveled from Karachi to Senegal on visitor visas through Ethiopian Airlines. Adil and Mujahid Ali flew to Saudi Arabia from Lahore on Umrah visas on September 18. Muhammad Waqas, Qaiser Iqbal, Sajjad Ali, and Ikram Mohammad also traveled from Lahore to Senegal.
