PM to issue Sehat Insaf card among transgender community today

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is scheduled to provide Sehat Insaf card among the transgender community today in the federal capital.
The ceremony will be held at the Prime Minister’s House today. The health cards will provide free treatment to transgender at over 300 public and private hospitals across the country.
Through this card, transgenders will get free-of-charge medical coverage which will also include the dialysis of the kidney and heart diseases.
Transgenders are also known as the third sex in the world. Pakistan in 2009, became one of the first countries in the world to legally recognize third sex.
Earlier today, the prime minister directed the chief ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to ensure that no person was left out without shelter in the prevailing extremely cold weather conditions.

In a tweet, he said that the administrations of the two provinces must take immediate action to provide temporary shelters and food for those who cannot be accommodated in existing shelter homes.
