Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif stated that the country’s economic indicators are gradually improving, despite efforts by Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to undermine the economy.
Speaking at the Business Facilitation Centre’s one-year celebration on Saturday, Asif noted that overseas Pakistanis dismissed PTI’s attempts to disrupt foreign remittances, resulting in an increase in remittances compared to the previous year. During the event, he awarded shields to staff members for their performance and highlighted the centre’s automation initiative as a step towards transparency and convenience for citizens.
He also dismissed rumors of Imran Khan being moved to Bani Gala, calling it a personal aspiration rather than a fact. Asif emphasized that the economy’s resilience and improvement, despite PTI’s negative tactics, demonstrate the government’s success in steering the country towards progress. He expressed openness to talks with PTI leaders but remarked that recent discussions had not yielded results.
