The Sindh government has launched the ‘Senior Citizen Card’ to provide elderly citizens with essential services and benefits.
This initiative aims to assist approximately 3.7 million individuals aged 60 and above across the province, ensuring they have access to healthcare, transportation, and other civic amenities.
How to Apply?
At present, the application process for the Senior Citizen Card is not open to the public. The Sindh government will use data from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to identify eligible citizens. This means that the government will directly select those who qualify for the card, based on the available records.
The Sindh government has not yet provided specific instructions on how individuals can apply for the card. However, it is expected that additional information will be shared in the coming days regarding how residents can register or apply for the Senior Citizen Card. Keep an eye on updates from the provincial government or the Social Welfare Department for official announcements.
The card is intended to improve the quality of life for senior citizens by granting easier access to services that are vital to their well-being. Minister for Social Welfare Mir Tarique Ali Khan Talpur has emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing the needs of the elderly population, ensuring they are respected and valued in society.
As the program is rolled out, more details will likely be made available on how seniors can benefit from this important initiative.
