Pakistani fighters Mehmosh Raza and Rafiq Afridi recently claimed titles in the featherweight and bantamweight categories at an international mixed martial arts championship, defeating Indian competitors Ravi Saw and Pradeep Hooda, respectively.
In the featherweight division, Mehmosh Raza emerged victorious over India’s Ravi Saw, bringing the title to Pakistan. Similarly, in the bantamweight category, Rafiq Afridi defeated India’s Pradeep Hooda to secure his title.
Pakistani fighters also dominated several other matches: Ijaz Ahmed defeated India’s Ankit Gujjar, Mujahid Baig overcame Rajveer, and Musab Asif secured a win over Afghanistan’s Wahid Ahmadi. Afghan fighters had success as well, with Samir Nusrat and Amil Siddiqui winning their respective bouts.
Adding to Pakistan’s recent accomplishments, Manisha Ali, a student at Garrison University Lahore, won a gold medal in the +73kg category at the KASAD’s 6th Asian Taekwondo Championship in Tangerang, Indonesia, standing out among hundreds of athletes from around the world.
