The Lahore Traffic Police has continued its special initiative to provide licensing facilities for motorcyclists across the province, with a significant number of licences issued last month.
A spokesperson for the traffic police revealed that more than 900,000 driving licences were issued to motorcyclists in September alone.
Among them, over 400,000 individuals obtained regular driving licences, while 234,000 received learning licences. Additionally, more than 266,000 bikers renewed either their learning or regular licences.
Faisalabad Traffic Police emerged as the leading district in offering these services, setting a benchmark for others in the province.
The spokesperson also highlighted that motorcyclists are issued regular licences after completing a mandatory 42-day period with a learning licence.
According to The News, this effort is part of a broader initiative to promote road safety and ensure that motorcyclists are better equipped to handle the roads confidently and responsibly.
