Pakistan secured the silver medal in the inaugural World Beach Kabaddi Championship after falling short against Iran in the final, held in Bandar Anzali, a northern city in Iran.
Iran’s national kabaddi team clinched the victory with a score of 41-32.
Earlier in the group stage, Iran triumphed over Nepal, Turkmenistan, and Denmark in Group A. They then secured a 49-30 win against Kenya in the semifinals to earn their spot in the final.
Pakistan also displayed exceptional performance throughout the tournament, particularly in the semifinals, where they dominated Iraq with a score of 58-21, advancing to the championship match. Their journey to the final showcased their strength and determination.
The 2024 World Beach Kabaddi Championship took place from September 25 to 30, with teams from Nepal, Turkmenistan, Denmark, Palestine, Kenya, Germany, and Lebanon participating in the event.
