Gas supply to certain areas in Sindh and Balochistan will be affected due to a leakage in one of the feeder lines supplying gas to Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).
The company announced on Facebook that a 38 mmcfd gas shortfall has occurred in the system as a result of a leak in the Gambat GPF IV feeder line.
A team from Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has begun repairs on the pipeline, which are expected to be completed within 20 hours.
“Some areas in Sindh and Balochistan will experience low gas pressure due to this issue. We regret the inconvenience,” said the SSGC.
Last week, SSGC announced plans to enhance and expand the gas pipeline network in Karachi and surrounding districts to ensure better gas pressure and supply. The company recently completed two pipeline projects: one from Azeempura to Jam Sadiq Ali Bridge and the other from Sheedi Goth to Future Colony.
