LAHORE: A laboratory technician student has been accused of raping a female patient at Gulab Devi Hospital in Lahore, Punjab. The alleged incident occurred on July 13, prompting police to file a First Information Report (FIR) against two suspects.
The victim’s father recounted that the lab technician led his daughter to a washroom in the Zafar Iqbal Block, where the assault took place. Police have confirmed the arrest of one suspect and indicated that further investigations are ongoing to gather additional details.
According to the FIR, the 18-year-old patient from Nankana Sahib was receiving treatment in the Amiruddin Ward of the hospital when the suspect, aided by his friend, took her to the washroom and raped her, while the accomplice kept watch outside.
On Monday, police reported that a pregnant woman was gang-raped by four men in Sheikhupura. This horrific incident occurred in the village of Kot Abdul Malik on Lahore Road, Sheikhupura.
The victim endured repeated assaults throughout the night, resulting in the tragic loss of her five-month-old unborn child, according to police.
All four suspects, including a female accomplice, have been arrested following a complaint lodged by the victim’s father, Muhammad Ayub.
