Like other parts of the country, Karachi is also currently experiencing extreme heat. The temperature in the port city has risen steadily since this morning, and the meteorological department has predicted further increases over the next three days.
The Met Office has forecasted that the ongoing heatwave in Karachi will persist for three more days before residents can expect a respite from the intense weather conditions.
Today, Karachi recorded a temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, with the heat index reaching up to 52 degrees due to high humidity levels in the air. Yesterday, the temperature in Karachi was also around 41 degrees Celsius, but the heat index made it feel like 50 to 52 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, other cities in Sindh are expected to experience temperatures ranging from 42 to 46 degrees Celsius, while Jacobabad may see temperatures reaching up to 47 degrees Celsius.
In contrast, there is a possibility of rain in different parts of Balochistan including Khuzdar, Lasbela, Zhob, Barkhan, Shirani, Kohlu, Musa Khel, Loralai, Sibi, Nasirabad, Jhal Magsi, and Dera Bugti.
