Amazon Prime Video has an impressive and diverse line-up of romance-filled web series.
From the recently released enemies-to-lover Maxton Hall to strangers-to-lovers Highway Love, here are five series that are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video:
1) Maxton Hall
An adaptation of Mona Kasten’s novel Save Me, this German-language series is a love story between Ruby and James; Ruby Bell has exactly one goal: to graduate from the private school Maxton Hall well enough to go to her dream university, Oxford.
She came to Maxton Hall on a scholarship and doesn’t get on so well with the other private school students, who are all about partying and money.
She then meets high school millionaire heir James Beaufort. He thinks money can buy anything. It’s a classic enemies-to-lovers scenario.
2) The Summer I Turned Pretty
This coming-of-age romantic series is an adaptation of the eponymous trilogy by author Jenny Han. The plot revolves around Isabel Conklin, aka Belly, who finds herself amid a love triangle with two brothers, Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher, during her summers at Cousins Beach. The show beautifully captures the essence of first love, heartache, and the magic of summertime transitions.
3) Flames
Created by The Viral Fever (TVF), the story of this Indian romantic web series is set in a tuition centre in West Delhi and revolves around the lives of two high school students, Rajat and Ishita, as they navigate through the ups and downs of teenage romance. Rajat, a studious boy, develops a crush on Ishita, the new girl at the tuition centre.
4) Highway Love
When a confident and feisty girl fixes an awkward but endearing guy’s car on the expressway, a warm-hearted love story starts to take life. As the guy finds himself smitten by this enigmatic girl, he learns to come out of his shell.
5) Catastrophe
The six-episode series is a delightful mixture of sharp humor and interesting and unusual characters in a narrative that feels both genuine and fresh. This critically acclaimed British series follows the whirlwind relationship between Irish school teacher Sharon Morris and American advertising executive Rob Norris, who meet in a London bar, and spend a passionate night which leads to an unexpected pregnancy.
