ISLAMABAD: Authorities are aiming to introduce smart car parking system in the federal capital.
In a meeting chaired by Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), a decision was made on Thursday to introduce a smart car parking system in Islamabad.
The meeting highlighted that this technology would not only address parking issues but also generate income for the authority. “It will be an automated car parking system at various locations in Islamabad,” stated the chairman. Additionally, the decision was made to install trackers on all official CDA vehicles to prevent misuse and save fuel, enhancing the monitoring of the authority’s transport system. This tracking system is expected to help control fuel-related embezzlement.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education and Professional Training has devised a plan to introduce outdoor gyms in its model schools and colleges to enhance students’ physical fitness and well-being.
An official from the ministry stated that this initial phase is part of a larger initiative aimed at promoting physical fitness and well-being among students, recognizing the intrinsic connection between a healthy body and a sound mind.
