Famous yet controversial rapper Kanye West has been sued by his former personal assistant Lauren Pisciotta on sexual harassment charges.
Pisciotta is also suing West and his Yeezy businesses for fraud, unpaid wages, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to the complaint.
What claims did Pisciotta make?
Pisciotta as a plaintiff claimed that that she was subjected to explicit texts, pornographic photos, videos, and phone calls from him before being ‘wrongfully terminated’.
Apart from harassment charges, he has been charged with a hostile work environment while his former personal assistant was working for the rapper.
She claimed that she experienced sexual harassment and a hostile work environment while working for West, and was seeking compensation for that along with a breach of contract.
West has also fired back at a sexual harassment lawsuit as his legal team stated that they would be filing a lawsuit against Lauren Pisciotta.
West’s claims
A legal representative for West denies the allegations made in the complaint. West’s lawyers maintained that her behavior was “entirely inconsistent” with someone claiming sexual harassment or a hostile work environment.
The team alleged that she stole his cell phone to destroy evidence contradicting her claims.
They further accused Pisciotta of being unqualified, demanding unreasonable sums of money, and engaging in ‘lascivious, unhinged conduct’.
West and history of unprofessionalism
This is not the first time that the rapper has faced pornography allegations by his workers. Former Yeezy staffers previously alleged that he played pornographic films during staff meetings, discussed porn, and even showed an intimate photograph of then-wife Kim Kardashian during job interviews, according to a November 2022 article by Rolling Stone.
